GRRRRR
Had a bit of an "incident" on the way to last night's show...the trailer hitch trigger latch thing failed & the trailer hopped right off the ball at highway speed in the left lane resulting in a fishtailing, oscillating, almost tipping over, heart pounding, expletive screaming mess - as the trailer was dragged down the interstate by its safety chains, my awesome, superhero like driving skills took over (serious "own horn tooting" going on here) and I was able to right the ship, slow down & make my way over to the right shoulder where we came to a noisy, smelly & smokey halt - THIS was the result ☝🏻️ - the telescopic foot/stand thing that raises the trailer up & down, as well as supporting it when not in use, was forced underneath the bumper - and the hand crank that raises/lowers the telescopic foot/stand thing was sheared off - so, after about 2.5 hours off brainstorming, trial-n-error, INSANE volume of traffic blasting by us at an arm's length away AND at warp speed, as well as a chorus of VERY audible bad words - we were able to solve the sitch & fix the hitch - needless to say we had to bail on the show (something that I think I've done less than 3x in 25years) - SO - to anyone who came out to see us last nite, as well as Eric Mason and everyone at Lucy's, please accept my apology - so very sorry we missed you - needless to say, first thing tomorrow morning I'll be at Trailer King for repairs...
